Australian AI Firm Firmus Technologies Signs Strategic Partnership With Nvidia
Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with Nvidia aimed at expanding affordable access to advanced computing resources for emerging artificial intelligence companies.

Australian AI infrastructure company Firmus Technologies has announced a strategic partnership with Nvidia designed to improve access to high-performance computing for startups and growing artificial intelligence companies. The agreement represents another major investment in the rapidly expanding global AI infrastructure sector. Under the partnership, Firmus will purchase Nvidia AI infrastructure and provide Nvidia-powered cloud computing services to customers developing next-generation AI applications. Company executives said the collaboration is intended to reduce barriers for smaller AI developers by giving them access to enterprise-grade computing resources without the enormous upfront investment typically required. As part of the agreement, Firmus plans to deploy approximately 170,000 Nvidia graphics processing units (GPUs) between early 2027 and early 2028 at a large AI infrastructure campus in Batam, Indonesia. The company expects the project to support growing demand for AI computing across the Asia-Pacific region. Firmus said the agreement could generate up to $30 billion in revenue over its first six years, based on existing customer commitments. Nvidia will benefit through hardware sales as well as a share of revenue generated from cloud computing services offered through the partnership. Industry analysts say the partnership reflects the increasing demand for AI infrastructure as businesses around the world accelerate investment in artificial intelligence. Access to powerful computing hardware has become one of the industry's biggest challenges, making collaborations between cloud infrastructure providers and chip manufacturers increasingly important.
